01 /Locate the first visible water safely
If the area is safe, photograph where moisture appears before it spreads or is wiped up. Note whether it starts inside a compartment, on the front below a dispenser or at a visible edge of the cabinet. Water can travel, so the largest puddle does not necessarily mark the source. Keep clear of wet electrical connections and stop using the appliance if water creates an electrical concern; do not reach behind it to investigate.
02 /Connect the timing to normal appliance activity
Describe whether the leak followed dispensing, a filter change, ice production, a power interruption or an unexplained recurring interval. Mention a spill or open container if that is known, without treating it as the only possible explanation. A few drops immediately after use and continuous flow are different symptoms. The record helps plan diagnosis, but it does not prove that a valve, drain or filter housing needs replacement.
03 /Leave water lines and frozen areas undisturbed
Do not disconnect supply tubing, remove an internal panel or chip ice from a drain area. Never apply a hair dryer or another heat source inside the cabinet. If a safely accessible shutoff is familiar and can be operated without entering a wet electrical area, follow appropriate owner or property guidance; otherwise seek assistance. A service inquiry does not require you to expose hidden plumbing or identify the exact failed component.
04 /Include access and earlier water-system work
Provide the full model and say whether the refrigerator is built into cabinetry or has custom panels. Mention previous leak repairs and recent filter or water-line work with dates if available. Ask whether the estimate covers the appliance fault or whether separate plumbing work needs review. Keep the cabinet in place and describe nearby flooring or clearance limitations. An address and ZIP match still require acceptance before an appointment can be confirmed.
05 /Plan service within the confirmed California ZIPs
ChantaFix is based in Glendale for California service. Check the property's ZIP against the 33 listed California service ZIPs, then describe the physical address, parking and appliance access. A listed ZIP is an eligibility match, not a reserved visit or acceptance of every address. Tell us if someone else must authorize work before an estimate can be approved.
06 /Diagnostic visit and repair approval
You receive a written estimate before repair work begins. Workmanship coverage is 90 days for the repaired issue; replacement parts follow manufacturer warranties. Use the California contact controls to discuss the appliance and request availability.
